Field Service/Commissioning Engineer

Job Purpose:

Field Service/Commissioning Engineers provide expert technical support to an extensive customer profile which includes Luxury Yachts, Commercial Ships, Naval Platforms, and Special Purpose Craft.


Key Responsibilities

  • Service, repair, and commissioning of all the company’s products in-house and at customer sites worldwide
  • Assist Systems Engineers with preparation and testing of new systems and with the preparation of technical
  • Assist with the development and assessment of new products
  • When office based, provide support assisting customers with technical problems via email and telephone
  • Training staff and customers in products and systems

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to communicate well (via email and telephone) with customers
  • Able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines
  • A team player, yet also capable of demonstrating initiative and working unsupervised
  • Lone worker ethic; able to identify needs/requirements and make productive and efficient use of both time and resources
  • Competent in computer technology and Ethernet networks
  • Able to diagnose faults and resolve issues using own initiative
  • Capable of writing /amending computer mimics
  • Cash/expense Management
  • Capable and confident to train staff and customers in our products and systems
